Project 4.

Project 4 is a system that was installed to improve the building heating quality in large complex of aircraft hangars in Illinois USA.
The buildings could not be used in winter due to the previous boiler systems taking many days to recover comfort sufficient to work in after aircraft movements.

Hanger B734 is one of the buildings which is 4,400sqm Floor Area x 17.5m high

The Building is Operational only 40 hours a week set at +19oC

And is set back 128 hours a week at +13oC
Before the system was installed the hangars were not able to be used for service work 4 months of the year as aircraft movements in and out of the hangers made the buildings too cold to work in.

The Old System consumed 15.64m kW/hrs Gas a season

The New Heating Annual Gas Guarantee 2.5m kW/hrs/season

In Season 2011 the actual Gas Consumed = 1.45m kW/hrs/season The Energy Saving against the Old System 92.69%
And 58.01% Saving Against The New System Guarantee
